1st week of school

This week has started off really well. All the students are wonderful and put a smile on my face. I enjoy coming to work each day to inspire these students to be the best that they can and to give their best in all that they do. Today we had a character assembly. What a neat story at the end about the students choosing to be coal "the mother of diamonds" or shaping their character to turn into the diamond. That applies to us as adults too. For me, I learned that I need to work on my citizenship and caring better. Knowing that there are people fighting at this very minute for my freedom and sometimes I am too lazy to pick up trash from food or drinks I ate or to send a card to someone or to even smile and be happy because I do live in the land of the free!! If we all pick something in our lives to work on, we can make this country that much better!!

My questions to you are:

What have you enjoyed about your first week of school?
What was your favorite part about the assembly?
What is one thing you need to change to become more of a diamond than coal?
