Hope you had a turkey-iffic Thanksgiving!!
One series of questions this week, but I want nice full answers....
What do you think it would have been like to have been a colonist? Would you have been a patriot or loyalist? What would have made you that way? Would you have gone through any extreme measures to protest what the British were doing? Would you have left your family to fight in the war for either side?
Don't forget your name!!!!!

It would be differant then we are now and now were free and not told what we can do and not to do its better now than bake then, we can buy any thing we want to and when ever we want how we can spend where we want to spend it.

I would leave my family to go fight in the war.Just because I would know that I would be keeoing them alive, or just knowing that I would be keeping the enemy away from them to keep them from getting killed.Courtney.T.
ReplyDeletewell being a colonist would be very hard. i would be a loyalist. i would want to make the british not make us pay tax for tea and every single paper made product. i would leave my family to fight in the war for all my children. i would rather me die than have my children die.

I think that I would have been a loyalist because,as long as I was on the king's good side, if I was in a bad spot he might have offered to help.Courtney.T.
ReplyDeleteA hard working life.I would be a patriot. All of the taxation without reprensintation.YESSS.Yes.
ReplyDeleteIt would be horrible to be a colonists.I would be a patriot because i would want to be able to have a say-so in what they tell me to do.I wouldn't go to EXTREME measures only if i had to.

I believe that being a colonist would be a sad, yet exciting, because of all the taxes, wars, and soldiers, it is sad, but it is exciting because I could see famous people like George Washington and see the war. If I were a colonist I would be a patriot. I would be a patriot so I can fight for the colonies freedom. If I was alive during the Boston Tea Party, I would have been one of the colonists who dressed up as native americans, and dumped tea in the harbor to protest taxes. If I was in the colonies I might fight the British, but maybe not because I am afraid I would die.

I think it would have been an adventure to be a colonist. I would have been a patriot because I did not like what the English and British were doing. Yes, I would have gone to war and what ever measure I needed to even if I had to leave and go to war to stand up for what is right.
